Designed to allow work to take place safely in stairwells when the user needs to place the ladder sideways–on to the stairs.
The STAIRMASTER can be fitted to either of the ladder stiles, depending upon which side of the stairwell the user wishes to
The STAIRMASTER is long enough to be used on stair treads with an individual rise of 6 ½ to 9" (165mm to 230mm).
Building regs specify a maximum rise of 220mm. The total rise height of the STAIRMASTER is equivalent to two treads, i.e. 13"
to 18" (330mm to 440mm) - in increments of 1/8" or 3mm.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FITTING AND USE
First, decide which stile you need to fit the STAIRMASTER to. Then unwind the three thumbscrews which hold the Leveller onto
the ladder until you can slide the STAIRMASTER over the required stile. Tighten the three thumbscrews (or just the 2 if your
ladder has a very short horn) until the STAIRMASTER is securely attached to the ladder.
Position the ladder sideways in the stairwell. Remove the locking pin which allows the STAIRMASTER inner leg to drop onto the
stair tread. Replace the locking pin in the nearest visible hole and twist until the handle is vertical. Job Done. To work on
the opposite wall, remove and fix to the opposite stile.
